Silverfish

Silverfish feed on starch, they destroy (eat) paper, cloth, glue and other organic materials. They can damage silk and some other synthetic fabrics but often avoid eating woolen stuff.

Silverfish live in roofs, lockers, niches, and bookcases, but it’s preferred niches in the house. Silverfish live in dark and quiet places and are most active at night.

They are often found in sinks, toilets, tubs as they are trapped while looking for the place to hide.

The process of entering the house of silverfish can start when eggs, pupae or adult are brought into the house in cardboard boxes, furniture or similar items.

SILVERFISH CONTROL AND ERADICATION

We recommend that you should invite pest control specialists to thoroughly check your house and identify locations where silverfish can hide as well as the scale of damage to find suitable eradication methods.

Roof holes and niches treatment with a composite powder that is sprinkled through a special “blower” can be effective. Areas such as basements, storage rooms, and similar areas can be treated with the synthetic spray.

The cost of professional silverfish eradication services may vary depending on the size and area of the house and the difficulty of accessing other parts of the house. Based on that we will then propose appropriate treatment process and expense.
